An Internet user recently posted a series of photos on baidu.com of a young woman dressed as “The Goddess Athena” – clad in an otherworldly white gown and purple wig and holding a large golden scepter – riding the Shanghai subway on Monday.

The poster said that the woman at first didn’t blink when confronted with a barrage of cameras but eventually got fed up and turned her back on the impromptu paparazzi crowd, despite the fact that her unusual visage has since drawn countless views and comments online.
